Another hello from the club with a little update for all members!
Firstly in relation to fees paid for 2020, anyone wishing to be reimbursed we will gladly assist with a full refund including the $25 NFNL levy. For those wishing to do so, the club will happily roll over this year’s registration into 2021 and we intend on keeping the fees next year at 2020 rates. Please email MJFC Treasurer Nicole Webster nicole.webster5964@gmail.com if seeking a refund.
We were on track for another bumper year in 2020, with 23 teams nominated and looking to start junior netball before life as we know it
was turned on its head. A huge thank you to our committee and all the coaches and team managers and club volunteers for all the work put in to get training up and running under the Covid protocols and get us as close to playing as we did! Its been a challenging year for everyone and we are especially thinking of all our MJFC players who were so close to playing. We will be back bigger and better next year. Remember to keep active and keep those footys in your hands!
We must also say a huge thanks to the NFNL for their communication with us and giving a very clear and consistent message in such an uncertain time. They really have done an exceptional job. We hope we have met your communication requirements over this period.
Moving forward from here, we are super keen to see everyone back for next year. The Annual General Meeting will be held around October or early November and it would be great to see some new faces and interested people attend on the night to help out on the committee next season. Everyone is welcome to attend the AGM and details will be sent out closer to the meeting. We can always do with a few more helpers that do not need to be committee roles as such. We’d love to see Auskick at Simms on a Friday night as well as Saturday morning, so please flick us a message if anyone can help in any way.
Reminder, that if shopping at SportFirst in Eltham or Rebel Sport to align your purchases to the club as we earn credits to be used in store and want to see our sponsors supported by our members.
Finally, the players will have to wait, all being well, til April next year to run out on that lovely new Para Rd surface, Kudos to Banyule Council for their ongoing support and investment in our 3 Monty clubs and the wider community.
For those with outstanding merchandise orders Jackie will be in touch once the club receives the orders.
Stay Safe everyone, look after yourselves and fingers crossed restrictions get lifted and we can have a social gathering
to reacquaint.
Thanks
